These are the minutes of the October 13, 2001 meeting of the Capital Mineral Club.
The meeting was held in the all purpose room of the Salvation Army Building on Clinton Street in Concord, New Hampshire.

The meeting was called to order by President, Bill Brown at 7:30 PM. There were 14 members and 3 guests present.

The secretary's report was accepted as printed in the newsletter.  The treasurer's report was read and accepted.

Old business:  Bob Whitmore talked about the current progress with the mine acquisition project - currently working on the McGinnis mine.

New business:  A Big Thank You from Bill Brown to the show help with set-up and take down support as well as the super displays at the show.  A display case was donated by Mike Dyber.  Another thank-you  also goes to Mike for his generosity.  Jon Herndon presented an update on the UNH scholarship.
A sign-up list was passed around for this coming year's refreshments.  A motion was made to have a show again next year.  Two new members were voted in:  Larry Heath and Norma Hurlbut.

Martin Kippley supplied this month's refreshments.

Ted Johnson from East Hampton, Connecticut presented this month's talk on collecting minerals in the Ilimaussuq intrusion in Greenland.  The suite of minerals is similar to those of Mount St. Hillaire, Quebec.  The remoteness and scale of the collecting environment made for a great talk.  Many rare minerals were shown.

Respectfully submitted, Vincent Valade, Secretary
