These are the minutes of the November 8th, 2003 meeting of the Capital Mineral Club.

The meeting was held in the all purpose room of the Salvation Army Building on Clinton Street in Concord, New Hampshire.

The meeting was called to order by president Gordon Jackson at 7:30 PM. There were 32 members and 4 guests present.

The secretary's report was accepted as printed in the newsletter. The treasurer's report was read and accepted.

Old Business: The pro's and con's of having our Gem & Mineral Show at either Sunapee or the Everett Arena were compared.

New Business: The Christmas Party sign-up sheet was passed out by Gordon Jackson. Two new members were voted in: Al & Joan Martino of Hillsboro, NH.

This month's refreshments were supplied by Bill Miles & Janet Breton.

The door prizes were won by Scott Higgins, Bill Adams, Mike Undercofler and Janet Breton.

This month's meeting was our traditional November presentation by the UNH Field Camp Scholarship recipients, Rob & Chris. They attended separate camps out west, including the states of Utah, Nevada and California. Using digital photographs, the two showed geological features from Bryce Canyon, Cedar Breaks, Zion National Park and many other sites.

BOARD MEETING – NOVEMBER 15th

On November 15th, 2003, there was a board meeting of the Capital Mineral Club at Gordon

Jackson's house. The meeting started at 10AM and covered several topics, including this coming year's speakers. Bob Whitmore will be the club's new auditor with David Sheldon completing his second year.

Other subjects included the Newry Park payment, the UNH Scholarship, club dues review and collecting trips for 2004. Also, our mineral show was discussed in depth, including possible future sites and the plans for the 2004 Sunapee Show. Signing, ticket and dealer price reviews were covered.
