The December 11th, 2004 meeting of the Capital Mineral Club was our annual Christmas party. We had a good showing of 32 members and two guests, Pete & Denise Cram. Those who attended enjoyed a delicious buffet style meal. The tenth annual Best Field Collecting and Best Lapidary Contests were held. This year we almost had a complete sweep by Jim Tovey in our "Best Field Collecting" categories. And due to Bill Brown's efforts the "Bill Brown Plaque" had a new winner. Bill has been busy teaching several club members and friends how to facet this year. He introduced several of them to the club and presented them with early Christmas presents. There were as many faceted cut stones as field specimens entered this year Top honors were:
