The Capital Mineral Club will meet Saturday, May 14th at 7:30 PM at the Salvation Army Building on Clinton Street in Concord, NH.
Our guest speaker for the May meeting will be Gyan Bhatnagar. He is a Geologist and the President of the New Delhi Mineral Club of India. He has done research with the Nuclear Department in India with Beryllium Minerals. He also has co-authored a book, “Science and Technology of Diamonds” specializing in the Diamonds of India. Gyan will be doing a presentation on the minerals and gemstones of the pegmatites and Deccan Traps of India. The mineral and display of the month will be minerals from India. If anyone would like to donate a mineral specimen to the club raffle please bring it with you.
Thanks to Bob and Neila Merrill for providing refreshments for the April meeting. Refreshments this month will be provided by Steffen Hermanns.
The following slate of officers for the upcoming year are presented here to be voted at this meeting. They are:
