Bill Brown thanked the club for doing an outstanding job with this years Sunapee show.  John McCrory did an excellent job. John also said "Good show" and "Thank you." Thank you also goes to Jon Herndon, Martin Kippley and Scott Higgins for the great barbecue.                      Last meeting's silent auction went well. The club made $137 - we'll do it again next year.

New Business: Gordon Jackson announced that there will be a show meeting at 6 PM on October 17th at his house. The club was also reminded about the Field Collecting Contest coming up for the Xmas party.                                                                                                   Bill Brown gave info on other area shows. Steffen Hermanns asked members for emails and any info people would like to submit for the newsletter. New members voted in were Alan Chandler, Susan Fellows and Larry Heath.

Bill Brown supplied this month’s refreshments.

There were three door prizes due to one donation from Bill Brown. The other two were supplied by the club. The winners were Jim Young, Howard Ewing and Gordon Graham.

Jim Young was this month's speaker. Jim has given many great talks for the club. This one was on his Alaskan prospecting adventure. Along with a slide presentation, Jim talked about his time prospecting for metals for one of two mining companies in the area. Another enjoyable talk. Thanks Jim.

Respectfully submitted,
