The Club

The 1971 September meeting was held on the 11th at the YMCA Walker Room. Out going President Vera Fogg past the gavel to Mervin Caswell who presided over the meeting. The usual secretary's report was read and accepted.  The treasure reported $110.01 in the checking account and gave a break down of the income and expenses for the previous year.
Vera Fogg reported on the 8th Club festival at Sunapee.  Admission was free and the show had a profit of $961.02. The famous mineral drawing was won by Amy Eldridge, Chris Howell and Rene Dagnais (maybe he will bring the specimen he won to the meeting).   Minerals were brought in and show and tell was given by Paul MacCoy, Jim Young, Mr. Balzarini and Mr. Kraznak.
The State for the first time would require the Club to enter into a formal contract for the 1972 Festival.
The Board of Directors appointed Forrest Fogg as next years Show Chairman and Robbie Robinson as Show Vice Chairman.  President Caswell reminded members of the field trip Sunday to the Wise Mine in Westmoreland.
The meeting as adjourned at 9:25pm.
Joanne Caswell, Secretary
