These are the minutes of the May 18th, 2002 meeting of the Capital Mineral Club.

The meeting was held in the all purpose room of the Salvation Army Building on Clinton Street in Concord, New Hampshire.

The meeting was called to order by president, Bill Brown at 7:30 PM.

Old Business: Cookout at the Jackson’s home on July 13th at 8:00 AM to work on the show trailer. Everyone is invited.

Gordon Jackson is looking for 10 to 15 items for an auction.

New Business: Still have some small display cases available for the mineral show.  Bill Brown and Jon Herndon will be making new signs for the Sunapee Mineral Festival.

Martin Kippley supplied this month’s refreshments.

Again, lots of door prizes due to donations from Bill Brown. Martin Kippley won a Chrysoberyl from Wood Hill, Greenwood, ME. Kathy Dallaire won a Diopside. Edna Whitmore won a Muscovite from Nottingham. Natalie Undercofler won a Rhacolepis Santana from Ceara, Brazil.  And Jim Tovey won a faceted Smoky Quartz which he gave to Ashleigh McCrory.

Bob Whitmore gave a well received talk on his trip to Madagascar.

Respectfully submitted,

John McCrory
