Please note A CLUB MEETING TIME CHANGE for the months of January, February and March: 1:30PM – Second Saturday of those 3 Months only
The CMC will meet Saturday, Jan. 10th at 1:30 PM at the Salvation Army Building on Clinton Street in Concord, NH. Our guest speaker for the January meeting is Jim Ross from Absolute Clarity & Calibration in Terryville, Connecticut. Jim will be talking to us on the specifications and use of a stereo microscope for use in mineral collecting. As part of his presentation we will have available several Palermo micros to view through the microscope and projected on a screen for all to view and learn. The display theme for this meeting will be Palermo minerals and phosphate minerals world wide. Check out his website at www.absoluteclarity.com. Anyone who would like to donate a mineral specimen to the club raffle please bring it with you. Refreshments this month will be provided by Charles Forsberg. As usual, the CMC annual Christmas Party was a wonderful time for all who attended. A pot luck feast, including, ham, turkey and all the holiday trimmings was a treat. The ninth annual Best Field Collecting and Best Lapidary Contests were held. Winners are posted on page 2. We also enjoyed a Yankee Swap towards the end of the afternoon. A nice selection of "rockhound" specimens were swapped. CMC members in attendance thank Gordon Jackson for his help in organizing the event. |

Could everyone in the club who has an Email address please send it to me, Steffen Hermanns, steffenh@comcast.net, so that I can update my records and the web site with the correct information. This will allow me to keep club members better informed via email of upcoming club events, club meeting information and anything else important. Thanks for your input.
