Wild Acres Workshop

The following is from Ginger Posthumus, Director of Wildacres-EFMLS:

Hi to all EFMLS Clubs members,

My name is Ginger Posthumus, current Director of EFMLS-Wildacres Workshop (WAW).

September 4-10th, we are holding our Fall session of WAW in the mountains of western NC. I would appreciate it if you would announce the
WAW at your next meeting and encourage your members to sign up for this fun-filled week, learning about our favorite hobby.
The classes being offered are: Intarsia, Precious Metal Clay, silversmithing, casting, faceting, judging, soapstone carving, wirecraft, cabbing
and a new class: titled: From the ground, to the Your Cabinet.(This is a combination of mineral/fossil ID and preparation class).

Our Guest Speaker will be the dynamic Steve Chamberlain of Syracuse.

For a week of lodging, and meals, plus your classes (except for fees to cover cost of the supplies used in class) is a nominal
$260/week/person.

Mid-week, there's a free day to do your own exploring, and late afternoon, there'll be a tail gate (sale-swap meet).

For more information about WAW and pictures of this beautiful mountain-top retreat, log-on to http://www.amfed.org/efmls/wildacres.htm
Some of the info you will find on the site is a list of all the class offerings, the instructors names, what the supplies fee will be, etc.

We hope to see many of you there.
Hope you all have a very safe and happy summer.
Thanks,
Ginger Posthumus
