Below is a letter of thanks submitted  to the Capital Mineral Club by Marie Huizing, editor of
Rocks and Minerals:

April 24, 2001

Donald A. Dallaire, Treasurer
Capital Mineral Club
829 Candia Rd.
Chester, NH 03036

Dear Mr. Dallaire:
It is with a great deal of pleasure that I write this letter of  acknowledgment and thanks for your club's generous donation of $250 to
Rocks & Minerals  magazine, which is published by the nonprofit Helen Dwight Reid Educational Foundation.

As requested, the money will go into our color fund and will be used toward the addition of color photography to the memorial tribute to Forrest F. Fogg, planned for the July /  August issue of this year.  As a color donor, the Capital Mineral Club will be included in the color credits in that issue and also in the annual list of donors, published each year in the March / April issue.

It is the continuing support from individuals, institutions, and organizations such as yours that has made possible the steadily improving quality of publications in this field.  Again, thank you so much.

Sincerely,
Marie Huizing - Managing Editor

Below is a letter submitted  to the Capital Mineral Club by Jason Clark, recipient of the
CMC Field Camp Scholarship, presented in remembrance of Palmer Sevrens.

Dear Capital Mineral Club,

I am truly honored to receive your scholarship.  It is a most generous gift and a huge financial help to me in my pursuit of further geological study.
I had the pleasure of meeting with Mr. Herndon at the awards ceremony.
I was sorrowed to hear about the passing of two of your members.  My blessings go out to you and their families.  I will do my best to take pictures and find information on interesting mineral assemblages.  I will also be spending time in the fossil rich, Bighorn Basin and am looking forward to present my findings in November.

My best and thank you so much,
Jason Clark
