The March 10th, 2001 meeting of the CMC will be held at the home of Gordon Jackson.
The time is from 10:30 AM - 4:30 PM. This will be a workshop and not a general meeting.
The workshop will involve several club members who will demonstrate Dopping, Faceting, Mineral Preparation, and Basic Mineral Identification.
As this is a workshop and a social event, members are urged to bring their spouses, and friends.
Also members are urged to bring items and ideas to share with the other members
. We are hoping that we can make this an annual event with the aim of giving members ideas and processes that they can use in the pursuit of their hobbies.
Pam Jackson will supply refreshments. There will be coffee, soda, munchkins, crackers, cheese, peanut/dried fruit mix

through the day. Lunch
will be lasagna, meatballs, chili and cookies, more than
enough for everyone.
The club would like to thank January's guest speaker, Professor Jo Laird, from UNH, who gave a very informative presentation on the geology of northern Vermont, mainly Eden Mills and Mt. Belvedere.
Sharing the clubs interest in Eden Mills and Professor Laird's knowledge of the area was April Abate, Editor of "The BMC News." We are always glad to welcome members from other clubs to our meetings.
Scott Higgins won February's door prize, Hemimorphite from Mapimi, Mexico.

"New
MastHead" Contest
There has been interest shown in changing the name of the club newsletter, now known as Crystals and Cabs.
At the February club meeting it was decided to have a contest to come up with a new club newsletter name and masthead.
We will talk more about the rules of the contest at the April meeting and have them in print in the April newsletter.
May 30th will be the deadline for (Continued on page 4)
