The CMC will meet Saturday, May 1st at 7:30 PM (Please note that this is one week earlier that usual) at the Salvation Army Building on Clinton Street in Concord, NH. This is to prevent a conflict with the Maine Mineral Symposium which is May 7th - 9th. Many club members go to this event, check it out if you have the chance.
Our guest speakers for the May meeting will be Don Dallaire, Don will speak to the club about collecting in Michigan.
The mineral of the month will be copper and minerals from Michigan.
If anyone would like to donate a mineral specimen to the club raffle please bring it with you.
Refreshments this month will be provided by Gordon & Heidi Graham.
The following slate of officers for the upcoming year are presented here to be voted at this meeting. They are: Gordon Jackson, President Scott Higgins, Vice-President Vince Valade, Secretary Don Dallaire, Treasurer Charlers Forsberg, Director, 2004-2006 Jon Herndon, Auditor, 2004-2006 Upcoming Events June 12th: Club trip to Palermo - (9:00 am - 4:00 pm) Cookout, collecting and there will be a Mineral Scavenger Hunt with prizes. Details will be passed out at the mine when you arrive. This event is limited only to club members and their families please. Sept 11th: 7:30pm - Bob Whitmore - collecting in Namibia, displays, African minerals. Oct 9th–10th: 41st Annual Gem and Mineral Festival presented by the Capital Mineral Club. |
