ARTICLE #6 - DUES

At the November meeting, the Board shall recommend to the Club a schedule of Dues to apply at the start of the next fiscal year, including rates for Single Adult, Adult with Spouse, Family Membership, Junior Membership and such other rates as may appear necessary.  Such Dues shall become assessable upon a majority vote of those members of the Club present  and voting.

Members who have not paid their Dues by the close of the second meeting of the fiscal year shall lose voting rights but will be notified of the next three (3) meetings.

ARTICLE #7- OFFICERS AND DUTIES

(a) The governing body of the Club shall be a Board consisting of a President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and two (2)Directors.  The normal term of  office for the President , Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer shall be one (1) year.  One (1) Director shall be elected at each Annual Meeting to serve for a two (2) year term.  The President, Vice-President and Directors may not hold the same office for more than two and one-half (2 1/2) years consecutively.  Vacancies on the Board shall be filled by appointment of the Board at a regular meeting.

(b) The Board shall meet at the Call of the President.  It shall plan the policies, programs and yearly fiscal budget of the Club and may approve for payment routine bills (such a postage, stationery or phone calls) and for the replacement of club property.  Such disbursements shall not exceed two hundred dollars ($200.00) per transaction.  The Board shall recommend new capital purchases to the Club; approval of such purchases shall be at a regular meeting by a vote of a majority of eligible voting members present.  The Board shall appoint all necessary committee chairpersons and committee members. All appointments shall coincide with the term of office for the President.

(c) The President shall:

1) Call all meetings of the board as required.

2) Preside at all meetings of the Club and Board.

3) Be empowered to sign checks in the absence of the Treasurer.

4) Ensure that the duties of the other officers are performed in their absence.

(d) The Vice President shall preside in the absence of  the President.

(e) The Secretary shall:

1) Record all proceedings of the Club.

2) Maintain a list of all members, with addresses, phone numbers and type of membership.

3) Read and write required communications.

4) Ensure notices of meetings are sent to all members

5) Pay over to the Treasurer all monies received, no later than the close of the next meeting.

6) Provide applications for perspective members and forward to the Board.

7) Provide registration form and dues notice. 

(f) The Treasurer shall:

1) Keep true and correct financial records of the Club.

2) Care for all monies received.

3) Disburse funds on approval of the Board and/or Club.

4) Read; or cause to be read, a Treasurer's report at each meeting of the Club.

5) May be bonded, at the Club's expense, upon the instruction of the Board.

6) Present a fiscal year budget at the January Club meeting. (Revised 2/12/1999)
