Please note A CLUB MEETING TIME CHANGE  for the months of

January and February:

1:00PM – Second Saturday of those 2 Months only

 

The CMC will meet Saturday, Feb. 11th at 1:00 PM at the Salvation Army Building on Clinton Street in Concord, NH.

Our guest speaker for the January meeting will be Bill Brown.  Bill will be giving a presentation on the art of faceting gemstones.  The display theme for this meeting will be anything to do with faceting and lapidary (faceted gems you have, gem rough, etc).  Anyone who would like to donate a mineral specimen to the club raffle, please bring it with you. 

Refreshments this month will be provided by Mike and Natalie Undercofler.

Please review the proposed changes to the by-laws on page 6 and the proposed scholarship guidelines on page 7.  These items will be voted on at this meeting.

Don’t forget next month's meeting is the club's annual workshop at Pam and Gordon Jackson’s house.  The time for the workshop will be 10:00am.  A presentation will be given during the day by world famous cave photographer, Kevin Downey.  This is a presentation you won’t want to miss.

2006 MEMBERSHIP DUES  -  NEW RATES!

The club decided to increase our membership dues during the November club meeting.  This was done so that the cost of the bulletin mailing and insurance coverage for each active member would be covered.  A new membership category was added – “Subscriber.”  This member would receive the bulletin allowing them to keep in contact with the club, but other club activities, such as, attending field trips, would not be allowed. This allows the club to save insurance cost for this member and in return lower their dues rate.  Any questions about these new rates and membership types should be directed to Vince Valade. 

 

NEW MEMBERSHIP RATES:

Adult Single           $10 per year;

Family                    $15 per year;

Subcriber               $5 per year ( includes mail newsletter)

Or one time fee     $2 ( only includes email newsletter )
