*March Club Meeting Announcement*

The March 8th, 2003 meeting of the CMC will be held at the home of Gordon and Pam Jackson. The time will be 10:30 AM to 4:30 PM. This will be a workshop, much the same as last year.

Please see this month's hard copy of the March '03 newsletter for a detailed map with directions to the Jackson's house or see the "Member's Only" page of the CMC Website for contact information.

The Snow Date will be Sunday the 9th.

The workshop will involve mineral preparation, trimming, cleaning, displaying, etc. Show and tell is always welcomed and appreciated, in fact encouraged. Anyone is welcomed to bring lapidary equipment. If this is your interest, give others a call to make sure this happens. Otherwise, it will be on the mineral collecting side and the social aspects of the hobby, which is a must, so bring your stories and smiles.

Steffen Hermanns is going to set up his digital camera to take pictures of NH minerals for inclusion on our web site. Help build the web site, bring a mineral(s) for the camera and show what NH has and can produce. Anyone bringing equipment should probably come a little earlier so you can setup in a relaxed atmosphere.

Pam will supply refreshments – crackers, cheese, peanut / dried fruit mix and coffee throughout the day. The diehard coffee drinker might want to bring his or her own special coffee cup. There will also be decaf. coffee available. Also, soda, water and coffee will be provided for lunch The rest of lunch will be a POT LUCK. Please bring a Main dish, Salad, or Desert. You can call to say what your bringing or take your chances but IF EVERYTHING GOES PERFECT, WE WILL ALL BRING DESERT!!! :)

If you have a thumbnail specimen in a perky that you are willing to part with, bring it and after lunch we will have a raffle. If you have a mineral – collecting friend or someone who might be interested in the hobby bring them along THE DAY IS TO HAVE FUN!!!!

This is a letter that Martin Kippley received from Elvern Jones, caretaker of Eden Mills Mines.

Dear Martin,

Just a note to thank you and everyone at C.M.C. for the nice gift. Last year I said that was the last year for collecting at the mines, but as of now I am planning on the same as in the past. So hope to see everyone from C.M.C. this summer. Wishing you and your family and everyone at C.M.C. a Merry Xmas and a happy and healthy new year.

E.A. Jones
